Trailing 4-3, No. 14 Seaford (13-8) mounted a seven-run fourth inning on five singles, four walks and three sacrifices to win, 10-5, and eliminate No. 2 Clarke (18-4) Monday in the Class A baseball playoffs. Mike Lasher and Steven Szobeski combined for 32/3 innings of scoreless relief, and Szobeski recorded two pivotal strikeouts with the bases loaded in the fourth to end a threat. Seaford faces No. 1 Plainedge in the best-of-three quarterfinals Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

Lynbrook 9, Glen Cove 7: Andrew Marks went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, three runs and two RBIs to lead No. 13 Lynbrook (13-8) over No. 5 Glen Cove as the Owls advanced to the third round in the Class A quarterfinals. Lynbrook will face No. 3 Island Trees.

South Side 11, Bethpage 9: James Howard went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs, and Matt Sollin went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs as No. 6 South Side (13-8) beat No. 10 Bethpage. South Side advanced to the Class A quarterfinals against No. 7 Division.

Mineola 12, Wantagh 2: Senior Jimmy Bulva went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and surpassed 100 career hits, the first player in school history to do so, as No. 9 Mineola (12-9) defeated No. 8 Wantagh in a Class A second- round game. Mike Cequeira 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, and Ryan Jenkins went 3-for-4 with four runs and two RBIs. Mineola faces No. 4 Garden City in the quarterfinals.

Oceanside 9, Plainview JFk 4: No. 3 Oceanside (15-5) scored five in the first, ignited by Brian Lau's RBI single and Bobby Colucci's three-run double, to top No. 6 Plainview (12-8) in Game 1 of the Class AA quarters. Plainview will host Game 2 of the best-of-three Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

Floyd 9, Sachem East 0: Cameron Sorgie threw his second no-hitter of the season, striking out 10 and walking two for Floyd (8-8) in League I. Sorgie also went 2-for-5 with three RBIs. Anthony Mondi (2-for-4, four RBIs) and John Martinez (1-for-2, two RBIs) homered in the sixth.

Riverhead 11, Bellport 10: Jon Tucci and Jamie Fox scored on a throwing error in the bottom of the seventh as Riverhead (8-8) won in League IV. Riverhead trailed 8-3 before scoring six runs in the sixth, highlighted by Tucci's and Jordan Demchuk's RBI triples.

Connetquot 2, Bay Shore 1: James Guiliano hit a tying RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, and John Federlin hit a two-out, bases-loaded single to win it for Connetquot (10-6) in League II.SOFTBALL

Massapequa 4, Long Beach 3: Athena Soregaroli drove in Monica Capolongo with the winning run in the seventh as No. 3 Massapequa (13-6) beat No. 6 Long Beach in the second round of the Class AA playoffs. Massapequa plays No. 2 Farmingdale on Thursday at Mitchel Athletic Complex.

Seaford 3, Clarke 2: Courtney Carbone's infield single in the bottom of the seventh won it for No. 3 Seaford (11-5) in the Class A quarterfinals. Aly Smith hit a two-run homer with two outs in the seventh to tie it for No. 6 Clarke. Seaford plays No. 7 Sewanhaka or No. 2 Island Trees on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Mitchel Athletic Complex.

West Islip 15, Half Hollow Hills East 13: Trailing 12-8 in the top of the seventh, West Islip (7-11) scored seven runs to win in League III.

Bay Shore 5, Northport 2: Taylor McGowan (14-0) pitched a three-hitter with no earned runs and 13 strikeouts, and Michelle Devito hit a two-run single to lead Bay Shore (17-0) to its 25th League II title in 29 years.

GIRLS GOLF

Galantino champ. St. Anthony's Isabelle Galantino shot 6-over-par 78 to win the CHSAA individual championship on Eisenhower White. Stephanie Sullivan (Sacred Heart) shot 80 for second. The top six, including Kristen Reutter (St. Anthony's), Hannah Polaski (Mercy), Caroline Kenny (Sacred Heart) and Taylor Lambrou (Holy Trinity) qualified for the state tournament May 29 in Buffalo.
