Abruscato hit .639 a season ago and picked off six runners. She is committed to Missouri.

Lauren Babich, Kellenberg, 1B, Jr.

Babich hit .318 with a .444 on-base percentage for the Firebirds.

Kaitlyn Baydian, Our Lady of Mercy, SS, Jr.

Baydian's totals last season included a .571 batting average, seven runs scored, two doubles and a home run.

Kiara Bellido, Floyd, SS, So.

As a freshman, Bellido batted .511, slugged .978, hit four home runs and totaled 16 RBI.

Ava Blasi, Half Hollow Hills West, SS, So.

Blasi hit .578 as a freshman to go along with 28 RBI and a .970 fielding percentage.

Sarah Blaskiewicz, Sayville, C, Jr.

She hit .533 a season ago and drove in 22 runs.

Kailyn Bloch, East Islip, SS/P, So.

As a freshman she broke the East Islip batting average record by hitting .604, according to head coach Jason McGowan.

Natalie Bottiglieri, Kellenberg, 2B, Sr.

The Nassau-Suffolk CHSAA Player of the Year hit .667 with 28 stolen bases and a perfect fielding percentage. Bottiglieri was named to Newsday’s All-Long Island first team.

Emily Brown, Clarke, P/1B, Jr.

Brown hit five home runs last season for the Rams. She will be the No. 1 pitcher for Clarke this season.

Taylor Brunn, MacArthur, P, Jr.

A two-way player who struck out 95 batters last year and hit .344, Brunn earned Newsday All-Long Island second-team honors.

Grace Cassarello, Seaford, CF, Sr.

Cassarello hit .333 from the leadoff spot last season. She also stole 14 bases.

Erin Cahill, Shoreham-Wading River, P, So.

Cahill pitched to a 2.37 ERA and struck out 78. She also hit .567 and drove in 19 runs.

Madison Camp, Syosset, P/CF, Jr.

Camp hit .540 last season and scored 25 runs while patrolling centerfield.

Sofia Caracciolo, Syosset, 1B/P, Sr.

The three-year captain of Syosset hit .500 last season and drove in 22 runs.

Abigail Chau, Jericho, P, So.

Chau is a dual threat who struck out 187 batters and hit .485 a season ago.

Emily Coffey, Island Trees, C, Sr.

Coffey hit .525 and had a .635 on-base percentage a season ago.

Makayla Comer, West Islip, 1B, Jr.

Comer was named to Newsday's All-Long Island second team after hitting .500 last season and .529 in the playoffs.

Kate Conklin, North Shore, C, Jr.

A strong-armed catcher who caught seven runners trying to steal last season. Conklin hit .386 with five home runs and 15 RBI.

Keira Corrigan, Sacred Heart, CF/UTIL, Sr.

The Scranton commit hit .525 with a .622 on-base percentage last season.

Bella Cruz, St. Anthony’s, OF, So.

Cruz played last season at Mepham, where she hit .491 with a .638 on-base percentage and 25 stolen bases.

Caylee DeMeo, Carey, SS, Jr.

DeMeo his .450 for Carey last season. She is committed to Connecticut.

Sophia Diaz, Massapequa, P, Jr.

Diaz pitched to a 2.91 ERA and hit three home runs. She also drove in 10 runs.

Amelia DeRosa, Miller Place, P/3B, Sr.

The fifth-year varsity player had a .732 on-base percentage and a 1.038 slugging percentage. The Springfield commit helped Miller Place become Suffolk A champion.

Olivia DeRose, Sachem East, P, So.

DeRose came up from JV mid-season and struck out 72 batters in just 40 innings.

Deanna Ebert, Bay Shore, P, Sr.

Ebert went 6-2 in the regular season and 5-0 in the playoffs for the Long Island Class AA champion Marauders. She's a returning Newsday All-Long Island second-teamer.

Kayla Fitzpatrick, Sacred Heart, SS/2B, Sr.

The West Chester commit hit .385 with a .601 on-base percentage last season.

Mila Fiordalisi, St. Anthony’s, P, So.

Fiordalisi, a returning Newsday All-Long Island first-teamer, went 10-1 with a 1.05 ERA, and 87 strikeouts in 57 innings.

Lilly Fogarty, Mattituck/Southold, P/UT, Sr.

Fogarty had a four-hit, five-RBI game against Shelter Island. She also threw a 13-strikeout game against Southampton.

Lia Fong, St. Anthony’s, P/OF, So.

The two-way player went 5-1, with 75 strikeouts, and a 2.07 ERA in 40 innings pitched. She hit .375.

Marissa Formosa, Smithtown East, SS, Jr.

Formosa hit .478 and scored 19 runs last season in addition to playing stellar defense. She was named League III rookie of the year.

Maria Giannitsas, Smithtown West, 3B/C, So.

She hit .452, including a four-hit game against Centereach, to go along with a .514 on-base percentage.

Ava Golio, Kellenberg, CF, Jr.

Golio hit .333 and drove in 11 runs in her sophomore season.

Chloe Graham, Rocky Point, SS, Jr.

Graham drove in a team-leading 12 runs and hit .450

Hailey Guerrero, Mepham, 2B, Sr.

The Stony Brook commit mashed four home runs a season ago and hit .345 to help Mepham win its second consecutive Nassau A championship.

Charlit Hartenstein, Plainedge, C/2B, Sr.

Hartenstein totaled 29 hits en route to a .495 average. She also hit three home runs and had 30 RBI.

Alex Hastings, Long Beach, P/OF, Sr.

Hastings hit .544 in the leadoff spot last season. She broke the Long Beach record for strikeouts last season when she struck out 18 batters against New Hyde Park, according to coach Carmine Verde.

Grace Heim, Kings Park, UT, Jr.

In a game against Rocky Point last season, Heim hit a grand slam, two triples, drove in six runs and threw a two-hitter with eight strikeouts for the win. 

Katelyn Herbert, Bethpage, CF, Sr.

Herbert covers a lot of ground in the outfield and stole 15 bases last season. She also had a .585 batting average.

Caitlyn Herzing, West Islip, P, Sr.

Herzing struck out 132 batters in 107 innings last season.

Emily Hess, Floyd, C, Sr.

Hess finished last season with a .551 average, .755 slugging percentage and 14 RBI.

Caroline Hobbes, Bay Shore, SS, Sr.

Newsday’s 2021 Player of the Year, Hobbes batted .551 and slugged .910, with 18 extra-base hits, 23 RBI and 38 runs scored.

Jamie Horodecki, Seaford, P/SS, Sr.

The Wingate commit hit .340 and had a .980 fielding percentage.

Amanda Howard, Glenn, P, Jr.

Howard struck out 107 batters in 10 appearances last season.

Alexa Hospodar, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK, P, Jr.

Hospodar struck out 141 batters over 94 innings and hit .377.

Lilly Kazalski, St. John the Baptist, P/UTIL, Jr.

The two-way player batted .471 a season ago and will be the Cougars' go-to pitcher this year.

Keelynn Kelly, Lindenhurst, C, Sr.

Kelly hit .545, had 33 RBI, and tied for the Suffolk lead with six home runs last season. 

Kyra Kreuscher, East Islip, P, Sr.

Kreuscher struck out 165 in just 79 innings and pitched to a 0.80 ERA.

Rachel Krogman, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK, SS, Jr.

She has been the starting shortstop since 8th grade and hit .470 a season ago.

Haley Leimbach, Sacred Heart, SS/3B, Sr.

The Tufts commit hit .454 with a .593 on-base percentage and eared Newsday’s All-Long Island second-team honors.

Erin Lema, Centereach, C/SS, Sr.

Lema hit .739 and had a four-hit game against Smithtown West last season.

Avery Linn, Plainedge, SS/P, Sr.

Linn had 32 hits, batted .515 and drove in 16 runs last season.

Kate Lo, Floral Park, SS, Sr.

Lo had a .641 batting average and a .731 on-base percentage a season ago.

Valentina Iula, St. Anthony's, C, So.

Iula hit two homers and drove in five runs against Lynbrook last season while playing for Carle Place.

Samantha Lugo, Comsewogue, C, Jr.

Lugo hit .546 and led Comsewogue with three home runs last season.

Kaylie Maier, Sachem North, P, Jr.

She hit .517 and drove in 20 runs. In the circle, she struck out 68 and had a 2.49 ERA.

Tricia Mavros, Locust Valley, P, Jr.

Mavros picked up a win and struck out 12 in a game against Oyster Bay last season. She also had a three-hit game with two RBI and three runs scored against West Hempstead.

Kate McGuire, Bayport-Blue Point, SS, Sr.

McGuire hit .469, had 13 extra-base hits and drove in 23 runs for BBP.

Emily McGurk, Babylon, SS, Sr.

McGurk is a five-year varsity starter at shortstop and hit .484 a season ago.

Meghan McGurk, Babylon, P, So.

She hit .510 a season ago and drove in 17 runs. This season she will pitch for the Panthers.

Lauren McSweeney, Islip, P/1B, So.

She hit a team-leading four home runs and went 5-0 with a 1.79 ERA. She was the League V rookie of the year.

McKenzie Morgan, Smithtown East, C, Jr.

The Bridgeport commit hit .298 last season and possesses a powerful arm behind the plate. She also had 10 RBIs and a .356 OBP.

Jackie Morra, St. Anthony’s, SS, So.

Morra hit .561 and had 34 RBI to help lead St. Anthony’s to a CHSAA title. She won the Championship MVP Award as a freshman.

Alanna Morse, Mepham, 3B, Sr.

Morse hit .620, drove in 51 runs, and was named Newsday’s Nassau Player of the Year a season ago. The Hofstra commit helped Mepham win the Long Island A title.

Stefani Murciano, Herricks, CF, Jr.

She went 45-for-55 from the plate for an incredible .818 average. She added eight home runs and 41 RBI.

Juli Murillo, St. Anthony’s, OF, Fr.

Murillo was named League I Rookie of the Year as an eighth-grader with Brentwood. She is a speedy fielder with a strong arm.

Catherine Meyers, Sayville, P, Sr.

She will be Sayville’s top starter this season after pitching to a 1.09 ERA a season ago.

Chiara Nappo, MacArthur, 3B, Sr.

Nappo hit .393, drove in 15 runs and scored 15 runs last season.

Rori Nugent, St. John the Baptist, C/OF, 10

Nugent batted .303 as freshman and backed it up with strong play behind the plate and in the outfield.

Julianna Park, Commack, SS, Sr.  

A Hofstra commit who hit .408 and drove in eight runs a season ago.

Jordyn Pasqueralli, Division, CF, Sr.

The Adelphi commit posted a .412 average, 20 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 15 runs scored as Division finished atop Conference I.

Alicea Pepitone, Ward Melville, 3B, Jr.

Pepitone missed last season with an injury, but she hit .440 in 2019 and was named League I rookie of the year.

Madison Picerno, North Babylon, SS, Jr.

Picerno hit .440 and scored 22 runs a season ago.

Ashley Pierce, Hicksville, SS/3B, Sr.

Pierce, who is committed to Bryant, hit .411 and had 25 RBI.

Stephanie Pilnacek, Bethpage, P/3B, Jr.

Pilnacek had a 1.18 ERA and struck out 122 batters. She also hit .467 and had a .576 OBP.

Grace Pohalski, East Meadow, CF, Sr.

Her 13 hits gave Pohalski a .382 average for the Jets. She drove in six runs, including the winner in a three-hit game against Oceanside.

Emma Powell, Center Moriches, P, So.

Powell hit .436 and scored 25 runs to help Center Moriches win the Long Island Class B championship. 

Ysabela Quinones, Valley Stream South, SS, Sr.

Quinones has been a varsity starter at shortstop since the eighth grade. She hit over .500 last season and stole 17 bases.

Kaylie Renner, Sacred Heart, P/Inf, Sr.

The Dickinson College commit hit .571 with a .610 on-base percentage.

Julia Renny, Syosset, 3B, Sr.

Renny hit .641 and tied for the Nassau home run lead with nine. The Providence commit is a three-year captain for Syosset.

Dylan Reyer, Baldwin, CF, Jr.

Reyer batter .654, stole 25 bases and scored 36 runs for the Bruins.

Samantha Reyer, Oceanside, SS, Sr.

This two-time All-County shortstop hit three home runs and drove in 10 runs to go with her .300 batting average. She is committed to Manhattanville.

Ava Rigano of Carey, Ryan Starr of Massapequa, Juliana Sabatino of Sacred Heart, Ava Vandernoth of St. Anthony's, Megan Wegel of North Babylon and Alyssa Weinberg of Division.

Ava Rigano, Carey, P/3B, Sr.

Rigano hit six home runs and had a .448 batting average a season ago. She will be the No. 1 starter in for Carey.

Kaylie Roberts, Center Moriches, 1B, Sr.

She tied for the Suffolk lead with six home runs last season. Roberts also had a .492 batting average and 1.334 OPS.

Emma Robins, Division, P/1B, Fr.

As an eighth-grader, Robins had a four-hit game against Oceanside and picked up two wins in the circle last season.

Kayla Santo, Valley Stream North, C, Jr.

A defensive wizard who picked off seven runners. She hit .475 and stole 10 bases.

Gabby Smith, Hicksville, 2B, Sr.

Smith batted .431 and scored 20 runs a season ago.

Casey Steinert, St. Anthony’s, 3B, So.

She hit .451 and drove in 17 runs as a freshman.

Ryan Starr, Massapequa, SS, Sr.

A Syracuse commit with a slick glove and quick feet, Starr stole 18 bases and earned a .951 fielding percentage.

Juliana Sabatino, Sacred Heart, P, Sr.

Sabatino went 8-1 with a 1.55 ERA and was named to Newsday’s All-Long Island second team. She is committed to Stonehill.

Madison Sturtz, East Islip, C, Jr.

Sturtz accumulated a .462 batting average and a .556 on-base percentage.

Elizabeth Thompson, St. John the Baptist, SS, Jr.

A two-year varsity player who hit .303 as a leadoff hitter last season.

Kasey Ulmer, Half Hollow Hills East, SS/OF, Sr.

The left-handed shortstop batted leadoff and hit .508 a season ago.

Ava Vandernoth, St. Anthony’s, 2B, So.

Vandernoth hits .487 and driving in 19 runs as a freshman for the Friars last season.

Claire Varghese, Commack, 3B, Sr.

She hit .377 and drove in 22 runs as a junior. She hit five doubles and two home runs.

Megan Wegel, North Babylon, CF, So.

She hit .580 and drove in 25 runs as a freshman and was named League III MVP.

Alyssa Weinberg, Division, P, Sr.

Weinberg had a 1.50 ERA and struck out 200 over 100 innings a season ago to be named Nassau pitcher of the year. She hit .667 and drove in 28 runs.

Kim Westenberg of Massapequa, Danielle Wenzek of Longwood and Lily Yepez of Mepham.

Kim Westenberg, Massapequa, P/1B, Sr.

Westenberg had a 1.87 ERA and struck out 143 batters over 100 innings. The Cortland commit also batted .343 for the Nassau Class AA champions.

Danielle Wenzek, Longwood, UT, Sr.

She hit .449 and drove in 23 runs for the Lions.

Casey Woluewich, Valley Stream Central, P, Sr.

She struck out 162 batters and won 13 games last season. She also batted .552.

Lily Yepez, Mepham, OF, Jr.

Yepez played a stellar center field and was named to Newsday's All-Long Island second team as she helped Mepham win its first Long Island Championship.
