Stewart, Roth power St. John the Baptist

Haley Stewart and Jackie Roth each scored two goals for St. John the Baptist in a 4-0 win over Holy Trinity Friday in CHSAA girls soccer. Shannon Mahoney, Alaina Brennan and Katelyn Coon had two saves each for the Cougars (3-3).

Sacred Heart 7, St. Dominic 0: Becky Conto and Maggie Cash each had a goal and an assist for Sacred Heart (4-0-1). Freshman Reilly Lucas and senior Mauve Quinn each scored their first varsity goals.

BOYS SOCCER

Long Island Lutheran 5, Knox 1: Keegan Petersen had a goal and two assists for Lutheran (5-0) in an IPPSAL game. Glen Boehmer added a goal and an assist.

GIRLS TENNIS

St. Mary's 6, St. John the Baptist 1: Kayla Castro defeated Claire Brown, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, in first singles for St. Mary's (4-2) in CHSAA.
