Du gives Jericho boys swimming victory
Jasper Du won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.07) in the penultimate event of the night to allow Jericho boys swimming to take the lead for good and defeat Bellmore-Merrick, 94-92, last night in boys swimming. He was the only individual winner for Jericho (5-0). Austin Kowalsky won the 100 fly (54.55) and 100 backstroke (56.02) and Max Krackow took first in the 50 free (23.26) and the 100 free (51.18) for Bellmore-Merrick. Krackow beat Jericho's Joseph Na by just 0.01 seconds in the 50 free.
Half Hollow Hills 98, Connetquot 82: Matt DeBlasio won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:44.44 and Ryan Savit scored a 291.40 to win 1-meter diving for Hills (1-0).
Sayville 96, Sachem East 82: Andrew Cremer won the 200-meter freestyle in 2:04.52 and the 100 free in 57.27, Matthew Hillsberg won the 50 free in 25.60 and the 100 butterfly in 1:09.79 and Chris Weaver won the 200 IM in 2:26.79 and the 100 backstroke in 1:09.68 for Sayville (2-0).
