Half Hollow Hills East's Jonathan Spadafora edged in state wrestling final

ALBANY -- Top-seeded Jonathan Spadafora of Half Hollow Hills East fell in a 3-2 decision to second-seeded AJ Kovacs of Iona Prep in the state Division I 145-pound final at the Times Union Center. Spadafora fell into a 3-1 hole in the third period, but made it a one-point match with 18 seconds left. 

He defeated fourth-seeded Lee Mauras of Freeport in a 14-3 major decision in the semifinals.
