Center Moriches' Jordan Titus wins first state wrestling title in three tries

ALBANY — Top-seeded Jordan Titus of Center Moriches earned his first state championship in three tries with a 5-1 win over No. 3 Matt Garland of South Jefferson/Sandy Creek in the state Division II 120-pound final on Saturday night at the Times Union Center.
The sophomore pinned No. 5 Len Balducci of Pleasantville in 5:31 to advance to his third consecutive state Division II final.
