Nassau Team Championship Set: Wantagh vs. Long Beach

Wantagh, the top-ranked team Nassau since the start of the season, almost was eliminated before the Nassau Dual Meet Championships began. Down early to MacArthur in this morning’s semifinal, the Warriors rallied in the upper weights to win, 30-25.

Trailing 25-24 heading into the final match, 285-pounder Steve English (28-6) scored a 42-second pin. Wantagh will meet Long Beach (who defeated  two-time defending Massapequa in their semifinal) in the final, which should start around 4:30.
