Jeff Strider pinned James Magee in 3:14 in the 140-pound bout, the second to last match, to give Mattituck/Greenport an eight-point lead and clinch the match en route to its 39-35 win over Center Moriches Wednesday in Suffolk League VII. Center Moriches led 31-12 after eight matches. Down 5-0 at 125, David Dillon pinned Sasha Pulver in 3:56 as part of a run of six matches that put Mattituck/Greenport within striking distance.
Central Islip 37, Sachem North 30: Elvis Gomez won a 2-1 decision over Justin Ianello at 140 pounds in the second to last match to clinch the upset for Central Islip (4-1) in League II.
Connetquot 49, Lindenhurst 27: John Zullo pinned Matt Gianneli in 4:42 to win the 171-pound match and lead Connetquot (4-0) in League II.
Smithtown East 63, Half Hollow Hills East 20: Eric Binder pinned Nick Terzi with a cradle in 1:59 at 140 for Smithtown East (4-0) in League III.
Newfield 66, Centereach 19: Rich Appenzeller pinned Nick Evangelista in 2:56 at 145 pounds to lead Newfield (3-2) in League III.
Rocky Point 60, Amityville 21: Thomas Dutton pinned his opponent in 42 seconds at 119 pounds for Rocky Point (3-0) in League VI.
Babylon 66, Hampton Bays 18: Luke Zappia pinned Robert Lovett in 1:18 to win the 130-pound match and lead Babylon (5-0) in League VII.
Bellmore JFK 45, Garden City 26: Richie Luxmore came back from a 5-0 deficit to pin Frank Bello in 3:19 at 125 pounds in the deciding match as Bellmore JFK clinched the Nassau Conference II-B championship.
Division 49, South Side 30: John Bellucci major-decisioned Jack Lucas, 15-2, in the third period to lead Division in Conference III-A.
Lawrence 68, Lynbrook 9: Karl Ravilus was tied at 12 with Matt Mott with time winding down, but Ravilus used a bear hug to pin him with one second left to take the win at 189 for Lawrence (4-1) in Conference III-B.
Bethpage 39, Great Neck North 33: Anthony Carrello defeated Ben Zelouf in a 3-1 overtime decision at 215 to lead Bethpage (5-0) to the Conference III-B title.
Mineola 37, North Shore 31: Dave Valmon defeated Mike Mendelson in a 7-5 overtime decision at 140 to lead Mineola (2-2) in Conference IV-A.
Locust Valley 55, Oyster Bay 16: Alex Minicozzi pinned Elton Gonzales in 5:37 at 145 to lead Locust Valley (5-0) to the Conference IV-B championship.
