No. 3: Jamel Hudson
Grade: 12th
School: St. Anthony's
Weight: 132
Record: 28-1
Hudson is a two-time CHSAA state champion, who after taking fifth at last year's NYSPHSAA tournament, appears to be coming into his own. He has 17 wins via pin and has beaten Sachem East's Jackson Mordente (31-6) and Longwood's Malik Rasheed (25-6), both of whom campaign at 138.
Opposing coaches are unanimous in their praise of Hudson, an athletic specimen who continues to make technical improvements. Even while preparing to perform his one-man show "Renaissance Man" on Jan. 27, Friars coach Tony Walters could not stop praising his dedication and leadership.
Hudson is a multi-tasker, and minutes after the end of his show, he reverted back to wrestling mode, eager and ready to take on all comers.
