Manhasset moved to the top of Conference III-B with three wins last week. A tight 35-26 decision over Bethpage was followed by a decisive 81-6 victory over Valley Stream South. The Indians concluded with a 41-22 victory over Glen Cove to move to the top of the conference standings.
Last week in Suffolk Rocky Point asserted its dominance in League VI with a 55-21 win over Shoreham-Wading River, then defeated league foe Amityville, 59-18.
East Islip put itself in front in League IV with consecutive wins to open the league season, defeating perennial contender Hauppauge, 39-31, on the back of an upset pin by the Redmen's Griffin Brown over Hauppauge's Ben Tepperman, then put Copiague away, 58-14.
