Buffalo Sabres to discuss development project

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Sabres executives say they'll make a big announcement about the team's $170 million hockey-themed entertainment complex that's currently under construction.
The NHL team's chief development officer, Cliff Benson, is expected to reveal details at a late-morning news conference on Thursday.
The project, called the HarborCenter, is scheduled to open in September 2014 directly across from the First Niagara Center, where the Sabres play.
The team says it will be anchored by two ice rinks and a 200-room hotel and have a restaurant, bar, retail space and a parking garage.
