Devs' Brodeur picks up 100th playoff win

"Big numbers, I think, are nice to get to," Brodeur said. "I think people always look at 50, 100, whatever, when you start talking wins to be the numbers to reach. Especially with only one goalie to have done it in the past with Patrick, it's kind of nice to be in the 100s -- even though there's no chance in hell I'll catch him."

"Two milestones -- my first and his 100th," said Devils coach Pete DeBoer, who spent the past three seasons on Florida's bench, unable to end the Panthers' playoff drought. "It's a lot of wins. He's our backbone. He's the best ever. It's a great accomplishment."

Flyers 8, Penguins 5: Sean Couturier and Claude Giroux each scored three goals as Philadelphia rallied from a two-goal deficit for a wild victory over host Pittsburgh.

Giroux added three assists and former Penguins Max Talbot and Jaromir Jagr also scored to help the Flyers take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. The Flyers rallied from a three-goal deficit in Game 1. Game 3 is Sunday in Philadelphia.

"I don't know how many times we'll be able to do comebacks like that," Giroux said. "We've got to have a better start."

After Nashville defenseman Shea Weber was fined only $2,500 for smashing Henrik Zetterberg's head into the glass at the end of Game 1 on Wednesday night, Todd Bertuzzi dropped the gloves with Weber 1:36 into the game, landing a good punch before they were separated. -- AP
