How serendipitous for Nyquist the horse and Nyquist the hockey player.

On Friday, Gustav Nyquist’s overtime goal gave Sweden a 2-1 victory over Latvia in the World Championship hockey tournament in Russia.

Early Saturday, the National Hockey League’s ultimate prize, the Stanley Cup, was delivered to the barn of Nyquist the horse, who was named for the Detroit Red Wings forward. The bay thoroughbred stuck his nose into the Cup.
