Calvin de Haan named alternate captain of Team Canada WJC team
Islanders prospect Calvin de Haan has been named an alternate captain of Canada's World Junior team. Windsor Spitfires defenseman Ryan Ellis was given the "C"
de Haan, a first-round draft pick of the Islanders in 2009, will join Jared Cowen and Brayden Schenn in wearing the "A."
The Oshawa Generals defenseman is one of the returning members of Canada's Silver-medal squad from last year.
