Montoya in, Grahame signed, Ullstrom to Bridgeport

Al Montoya gets the start tonight against the Penguins, with Kevin Poulin up from Bridgeport for the night to back up. Poulin will go back to Bridgeport for the Sound Tigers' weekend games with John Grahame, the retired former NHL backup, signed to sit behind Montoya for the remainder of this season.

Evgeni Nabokov said his latest groin problem surfaced in the second period on Tuesday in Pittsburgh, when Penguins forward Chris Kunitz clipped skates with the goaltender. Nabokov said he isn't assuming his season is over, despite the Grahame signing.

"If I can play, I will play," Nabokov said. "It's not only my decision, but if I can feel better during this weekend, I hope I can get back in."

David Ullstrom was sent back to Bridgeport to make room on the roster for Grahame. Ullstrom, who scored the game-winner on Tuesday, knew his demotion wasn't because of how he played with the Isles.

"(Bridgeport) is in a spot right now where they want to make the playoffs and it's exciting to be a big part of that, to play a lot of minutes and get a chance to go on a run," Ullstrom said. "I think I showed the coaching staff here that this is where I want to be. It's a big summer for me. I'm going to come back bigger and faster and I want to try and get a regular spot here."

Nino Niederreiter gets back into the lineup with Ullstrom gone. Jack Capuano said he'll dress seven defensemen for warmups and choose a scratch after that.

Marc-Andre Fleury, who gave up five goals in 40 minutes to the Isles on Tuesday, gets the start for Pittsburgh.
