Martin Brodeur retirement ceremony leads to rise in Devils’ ticket prices

Devils games rarely cause much of a stir on the secondary ticket market, but Tuesday night against the Oilers is a glaring exception, thanks to the ceremony retiring former goaltender Martin Brodeur’s No. 30.
According to SeatGeek.com, the average resale price for the game has been $211, nearly triple the Devils’ season average of $78.
It also is the highest price for a regular-season game at the Prudential Center in SeatGeek records that date to 2010.
Of the 14 NHL jersey retirement ceremonies SeatGeek has tracked since 2010, the only one that had a higher average price on the secondary market was $266 for Pavel Bure in Vancouver in 2013.
