NBC announced it will carry the 2017 NHL All-Star Game from Los Angeles on Jan. 29 on its main broadcast channel rather than NBCSN.
It will be the first network-television broadcast of the event since 2004, and the first on NBC since 1994, a game played at Madison Square Garden.
Last season’s “game” in Nashville, actually a 3-on-3 tournament, on NBCSN was the most-watched All-Star Game since NBC acquired rights to the event in 2005-06.
