NHL labor talks 'likely' to resume Friday

Negotiations aimed at resolving the NHL lockout could resume Friday, deputy commissioner Bill Daly indicated Tuesday.
"We met this morning," he wrote in an e-mail to Newsday. "Supposed to have specific follow-up on Thursday and likely to resume in-person meetings on Friday."
The Players' Association had no immediate comment.
The owners and players have not had a formal negotiating session since the lockout began Sept. 16. On Monday, Daly said the league was "committed" on not delaying the start of the season, scheduled for Oct. 11. Daly said no "fixed date" has been established to have an agreement in place to avoid an interruption of the regular season. All preseason games for September have been canceled.
A person close to the negotiations said the sides have agreed on most issues except the sharing of hockey related revenue.
