The word from Mississagua came down: Let's sleep on it.
The Calgary Flames reportedly had made a nine-year, $64-million offer, the highest of the ones served up today. But word is that all four teams, including the Rangers, Kings and Leafs, are in the hunt. Some reports say that the Rangers are the frontrunner. I don't know, but my gut says the Rangers will emerge, especially if they just have to sweeten the pot a bit.
Hope this ends in a timely fashion. We have tix for 'Hamlet'' in at the Shakespeare Festival in Garrison/Boscobel tomorrow night. Lovely spot on the Hudson.
