Chris Summers re-signs with Rangers

Defenseman Chris Summers, who was traded to the Rangers by Arizona with Keith Yandle in March 2015 and scored 11 points in 74 games in Hartford last season, has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract.
Summers, 28, who would have been an unrestricted free agent on July 1, will earn $350,000 in the AHL and $600,000 in the NHL.
He played three games for the Rangers last season.
