Down year continues for Michael Del Zotto
The Rangers all-rookie team defenseman last year has been north and south this season, and the unfortunate news continues.
According to Howlings' Mitch Beck, Del Zotto was slashed on the wrist last night while playing for the AHL Whale, lett the arena wearing a splint and was scheduled to see a speclalist today. Beck told me this morning that Del Zotto said the injury was not from the slash, but a blocked shot immediately after.
The organization hoped he would continue to improve his game in the A, and this certainly seems like a significant setback for the 20-year-old....
