Gaborik out for game; Rangers down 3-1, end of 2
Without Marian Gaborik, undisclosed injury, for the second period, the Flyers scored twice to lead the Rangers 3-1. Gaborik played ther final shift of the first period but did not return to the bench after intermission.
Daniel Carcillo’s backhander from the left side as the fourth line buzzed slid under Henrik Lundqvist with 3:34 left in the second period as the Flyers scored their third straight goal.
With Wolski in the box for boarding Meszaros at 12:29, the Flyers had gone ahead 2-1 on Claude Giroux’s 20th goal.
Matt Carle’s shot from the point started the play and although Lundqvist’s dive stopped Carter’s try for the doorstep, he corralled the bouncing puck and backhanded a pass from behind the goal line to Giroux for a wrister at 12:52.
