Hawks approach: Business-like

                    PHILADELPHIA ----Nervous? Not the Hawks. Head coach Joel Quenneville described today’s game day skate here at Wachovia Center as “very businesslike, more matter-of-fact than any point in the playoffs.”

                    Aware that the Flyers faithful will be in full throat and bloodthirsty, Quenneville said that getting through the opening minutes will be tough: “We know it’s going to be hostile…let’s respond to what’s going to happen.”  

                    He compared the Flyers depth, speed and skill to San Jose and Vancouver . “We have a lot of respect how dangerous they can be.” As for matching up lines on the road, Quenneville said he recognizes the challenges of countering the No. 1 Flyers trio, and “hopefully, we can get the D (pairs we want).”

                  Injured forward Andrew Ladd skated with the team for the first time in this series, but will be scratched. "Status quo," said Quenneville.

                  On Chris Pronger: “We have to keep it tight and hard on him, keep him playing defense as opposed to attacking and said he had to “commend” him for pushing the envelope and “finding a way to take advantage of whatever to get an edge.”

                  From captain Jonathan Toews, whose line has not been productive offensively, with just one assist: “We played much better defensively in the second game, that’s where we wanted to start, from the ground up…you want to win the small battles and as a team we’ve won most of those… as a line, we’re gonna break through and get our chances…I think we can bring the confidence we had on the road in the previous series.”
