Apologies, some delayed bullets here:

Had to travel and exhange laptops with the office. Apparently I burned out the motherboard. Insert joke here.

* As we suggested as a possibility during the weekend, J.T. Miller was recalled from Hartford this afternoon, and presumably will dress against the Hawks Thursday. Figure he'll be on the third line with Brassard/Pouliot in place of Zuke. Maybe Dorsett gets another day off.  Or, and this is just speculation, there's a minor deal brewing that will ship a forward out and require Miller, Dorsett and Carcillo playing. UFA Brian Boyle perhaps? Or maybe Carcillo?

* As tweeted earlier from practice, before my drive to the office for a working Dell, Cam Talbot will be in goal Thursday, although Henrik Lundqvist said he felt "great" and the six-game stint for Sweden over two weeks was "perfect" for his game. I suspect No. 30 will be in the nets Saturday in Philly and at MSG vs Boston on Sunday. Next game after that isn't until Wednesday at home.

* Marc Staal skated for the first time since he "twisted" his spine at the end of practie Thursday and it locked up. It was much looser Wednesday (said he had trouble getting sox on for a couple days), and he will push himself at full tempo Wednesday to gauge his availability Thursday. Did say said the back responded faster to rest and treatment than when it happened off-ice during the lockout.

*  The impasse between the front office and the agent for Ryan Callahan remains, with nine days to go before the trade deadline. This could go down to the wire, unless Callahan persuades his agent to lower his demands/term or GM Glen Sather is offered a deal he can't refuse in the next few days. And as we've said numerous times earlier, I still believe Dan Girardi and the club will come to an agreement. He's been avoiding writers for days.
