Kings edge Rangers, 3-2 on OT power-play goal
The Rangers killed four LA power plays, but the fifth, in OT, on a weak hold by Ryan McDonagh in the offensive zone, was costly. At the left post, Jack Johnson scored with 52 seconds left in the extra session on the 4 on 3. Rangers had a 2-1 lead in the third on Marian Gaborik's first goal. Rangers also had to kill a penalty late in regulation.
