Live from Detroit: Wings 2, Rangers 1, end of 1
The Rangers were down 2-0 in the first 3:55 as Detroit's crisp passing ended in doorstep goals by Dan Cleary and Henrik Zetterberg against Martin Biron. The Rangers 6-for-13 on the PP coming in, were 0-2 after Sean Avery was stopped bythe stick of Jimmy Howard on a breakaway, but then deposited trhe puck behind Howard after Todd White recovered it behind the net. Rafalski, with two assists, has been his traditional self at the point, with two assists. Shots are 7-7. Not sure I understand the makeup of the fourth line, Anisimov at C, Boyle on the left side and Prust on the right. The trio played about four minutes with some pressure and one shot, but...Wings dominating on faceoffs, 7-2. Anisimov 0 for 3.
