Nine stats to consider after Game 1: Chicago 6, Philly 5

1.  The five goals scored in the first period were the most in the opening 20 minutes of the Final since 1982, when the Islanders (three) and Vancouver Canucks (two) scored five in a 6-5 Islanders overtime victory at Nassau Coliseum.

2. The 11 goals were the most in a Stanley Cup Final game for 18 years.
The last time 11 goals were scored in a Final game also marked the last
appearance by the Blackhawks in the Final -- Game 4 of the 1992 series
against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

3. The Flyers led 1-0, 3-2 and 4-3, while the Blackhawks were ahead
2-1, 5-4 and 6-5. The Flyers' three leads lasted 4:57, the Blackhawks led for 19:53 and the teams were tied for 35:10.

4. Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Dustin Byfuglien, Mike Richards, Jeff Carter and Simon Gagne combined for zero points and a -16 rating.

5. Hawks had no power plays, but won their sixth consecutive game and improved to 9-1 in their past 10 games.

6. Teams winning Game 1 of the Final have won the
Cup in 54 of 70 seasons (77%) since the League introduced the
best-of-seven format in 1939.

7. Hawks won 63 percent of faceoffs, Toews was (18-6, 75 percent).

8. Flyers forward Ville Leino (14 points) is one point shy of the franchise record
for points by a rookie in one playoff year, set by former Flyer all-star
Brian Propp in the club's run to the Final against Islanders in 1980 (5-10--15 in 19 GP).

9.  With his goal, former Ranger Blair Betts broke a 28-game goal drought (11 regular-season, 17 playoff).
