It may well be that the lines employed in the 5-0 dusting of the Oilers are kaput. Here’s what Alain Vigneault was tinkering with at practice:

Hagelin-Stepan-Nash; Richards-DMoore-St. Louis;  Zuccarello-Brassard-Pouliot; Dorsett-Boyle-Carcillo. "It's just me being me," he said. "I just wanted to take a look at Hags...sorta with Kreider's speed out there. I'm going to sleep on it." There was no update on Kreider, who is out indefinitely after having surgery on his left hand.

Ryan McDonagh did not practice, but will play tomorrow. He was cut in the mouth with a stick against Edmonton.

John Moore (recovering from concussion symptoms) skated with Dan Girardi, and Vigneault said he wanted one more practice from Moore and then it would be a coach's decision on if he'd be in the lineup against Colorado on Thursday. The other top d-pairs were Staal-Stralman and Diaz-Klein.

Justin Falk, who rejoined the team, was on a fourth d-pair with J.T. Miller; Ryan Haggerty was a spare forward.

More from Vigneault:

"I've got some younger players right now who are really on the upswing, developing as players and as leaders, whether it be Ryan McDonagh, Step, Hagelin, Brassard, and very fortunate to have a couple veteran leaders." Similar to  when he first arrived in Vancouver? "That might be a fair comparison."
