Rangers 3, Wings 0, end of 1, trade rumors simmer
On goals by Marian Gaborik and Sean Avery in the first 4:39, and a late one, 4 on 4 by a trailing Mike Sauer, the Rangers are leading a Wings team without Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Holmstrom. But still, we've seen more forechecking than much of the night at The Joe on Sunday.
It was Gaborik's 3rd, Avery's 2nd, and Sauer's first of the pre-season.
Meanwhile, whispers---unconfirmed at this point---continue that the Rangers are looking for a center and experienced defenseman, and that Columbus, Florida and Phoenix are talking....
