Rangers sign free-agent center Luke Adam

The Rangers signed free-agent center Luke Adam, who was not given a qualifying offer by the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Adam, 25, was the AHL Rookie of the Year in 2010-11. In 283 AHL games, Adam compiled 93 goals, 203 points and 231 penalty minutes.
In 90 NHL games with Columbus and Buffalo, the 6-2, 206-pounder had 15 goals and 26 points.
