GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Ryan Lindgren did not skate Sunday at the Rangers’ MSG Training Center because of “maintenance,’’ according to the team.

The defenseman appeared to grab at his left ankle after a collision with Capitals forward Lars Eller late in the Rangers’ 3-2 win Friday in the regular-season finale at the Garden. He got up and finished his shift but hobbled to the bench and did not play the final 2:24.

Coach Gerard Gallant said Lindgren’s problem is minor and he’ll be OK for the playoffs, which begin Tuesday for the Rangers.

“He’s fine,’’ Gallant said. “He’s [taking] a maintenance day. He’ll be out there tomorrow.’’

The Rangers will practice again Monday before facing Pittsburgh in Game 1 of the first-round series at the Garden

n  Motte returning soon?

It’s possible that injured forward Tyler Motte, a key role player who suffered what the team described as a “significant upper-body injury’’ April 7 against the Penguins, may play at some point in the first round, according to Gallant.

“He’s not on the ice with us, and he hasn’t skated yet, but he’s progressing really well,’’ Gallant said. Motte played nine games with the Rangers after being acquired from Vancouver at the trade deadline.

n  Jarry, Zucker ‘day-to-day’

Pittsburgh’s No. 1 goaltender, Tristan Jarry, who missed the final six games of the regular season, did not practice Sunday, and neither did forward Jason Zucker. Jarry is believed to have a broken right foot, suffered April 14. Zucker is out with an undisclosed injury suffered Tuesday against Edmonton.

Both players are “day-to-day,” according to Penguins coach Mike Sullivan, who said neither likely will play in “the first couple of games’’ of the series.
