Marian Gaborik skated this morning but afterward said he had "no energy" from his bout with the flu, looked flushed, and said that if he couldn;t help the team tonight against Pittsburgh, it wasn't worth the start. So, it's a gametime decision, and if I were a betting man, I'd say he's out for the second straight.
Torts said a decision was made not to call someone up from Hartford, and it seems that if the decision was solely his, another forward would be here. Strange.

Derek Boogaard skated but his strained shoulder from a fall is preventing him from shooting, and coach John Tortorella said he would be scratched.

Torts did say that he had spoken with NHL execs Colin Campbell and Mike Murphy about the calls and non-calls after the last Pittsburgh game. It was the only time of the year he had made his case to them, "and I hope it'll be the last."
