Three new players to watch for Rangers

Dan Boyle
The veteran blueliner, who played with Martin St. Louis in Tampa Bay and holds the scoring record for defensemen in San Jose, will play with Marc Staal on the second pair, but his real value is as a power-play quarterback, where his experience should create more opportunities. His numbers have declined in the past few seasons, but Boyle says he has always wanted to come to New York, and seemed energized in camp.
Anthony Duclair
It's been a long time since there was this much chatter about a teenage forward in Rangers camp. The quick 19-year-old winger, who scored 50 goals for the junior league Quebec Remparts, was voted the top rookie in camp and his preseason play forced the Rangers' hand to create an opening on the 50-man roster with a trade. Duclair's poise and stamina will be challenged at the NHL level, and how long he stays in the top nine is uncertain. But he's a keeper.
Tanner Glass
A hard worker who was a favorite of Alain Vigneault's in Vancouver, Glass is also willing to drop the gloves when necessary, and has the makeup to become a fan favorite at the Garden. One-dimensional enforcers are disappearing in the NHL, and Glass will also kill penalties and help a fourth line that the coach counts on for quality minutes.
