Report: NHL, NHLPA come to agreement, Kovalchuk a Devil
Darren Dreger of TSN posted this news on Twitter just a few minutes ago. No details as of yet, but it seems the league the players' association have come to terms on amending the CBA on long-term contracts.
More importantly for fans of actual hockey, Dreger reported that Ilya Kovalchuk's 15-year, $100-million contract will be approved by the league.
Kovalchuk initially signed with the Devils on July 19. Now, 46 days and two contracts later, he would appear to be a Devil at last.
More to come.
