FIRST: Beyond Discreet tallied improved late-pace figure when a solid second in last; more to come. Desert Affair is improving on the numbers and should handle additional ground. J C My Way is fresh and should be favorably positioned near the front; price will be tempting.
SECOND: John’s Island packs potent kick on “A” game and will be aided by return to main track; rates close call. Mighty Zealous won last and owns faster back numbers; very interesting. Monster Mash bested a pricier group when a determined winner in last; short odds are the problem.
THIRD: Maria Got Even overcame soft fractions and rough trip when winning last; call based on price. Jules N Rome is fresh and owns swift numbers; very dangerous. Browse is 1-for-1 on Big A’s main track and compiled sharp work tab for first start since July.
FOURTH: Downtown at Noon displayed improved speed in last and projects as the controlling front-runner with aggressive ride. Decorator Jenn has finished second in all three starts; continues trend? Tequila Sunday is riding a forward line on the numbers; don’t ignore.
FIFTH: Parting Shot returns from nine-month layoff for barn (John Kimmel) that’s capable off the bench. Communion Money owns speed and makes first start with maiden-claiming tag; very interesting. Causeway Cutie has finished second in last two starts; must consider.
SIXTH: Point Hope was a useful fourth in last and owns a win and two seconds in three starts on Big A’s main track; forward move predicted. C J’s Awesome owns speed and fast figures; logical, short-priced player. Best Play makes third start of form cycle; more than good enough on best.
SEVENTH: Super Psyche was a determined maiden winner in last and logged two, crisp half-mile works in the interim. Two Down One to Go owns speed and can prove very tough on an unchallenged lead. Ro Bear regressed in last start after wire-to-wire win in previous race; bounce-back threat.
EIGHTH: Mr. Dougie Fresh notched solid final fraction when a tenacious maiden victor last time at Parx; more to give. Everybodyluvsrudy owns a win and a second in two starts on Aqueduct’s outer oval; dangerous. Pletcher entry: Thirst for Victory was a fast-figured second in last and mate Win With Pride raced in Remsen Stakes in only start on Big A’s main track’ potent pairing.
NINTH: Miss Emily’s Smile engaged fast fractions when a clear-cut maiden winner in last; call based on price potential. Two Term Max also broke maiden in last start and could be ideally positioned in the stalker’s seat; very playable. Paris Moon, another that was a maiden winner in last, makes first start since claimed by Linda Rice; must be factored into the mix. Esther the Queen is right in the thick of this on best efforts.
