Mundorf leads USA lacrosse team over Germany
Brendan Mundorf scored five goals and added three assists and former Syracuse University star Ryan Powell had three goals and three assists as USA crushed Germany, 22-4, on Sunday in the World Lacrosse Championships at Manchester, England.
Mundorf, who played college ball at UMBC and plays professionally for the Denver Outlaws of the MLL, leads all United States scorers after three games with nine goals and six assists.
Matt Zash (Massapequa, Duke) led the Long Island contingent with a goal and an assist while Max Seibald (Hewlett, Cornell) scored his sixth goal of the tournament.
USA (2-1) faces host England (3-0) on Monday.
