That's just Matty being Matty.

Matt Esquivel wears Manny Ramirez's No. 99, plays the same leftfield position and shares a similar sense of humor with his favorite player. He has also been producing like Manny since joining the Ducks this season, leading the team in hits (36), runs (23), home runs (five) and RBIs (19).

Originally drafted by Atlanta in the fifth round of the 2001 amateur entry draft, the 27-year-old spent six seasons in the Braves' system.

Q & A

What's been the most memorable moment of your career so far?

"Maybe the Double-A All-Star Game in 2007. It was good because it was at my home stadium in Mississippi . . . My family was there, so it was a good time."

What's something your teammates tease you about?

"Being the cleanest guy on the team. I think that's a compliment. But they say I take frequent showers."

What's your most embarassing on-field moment?

"I caught a ball in the left-centerfield gap that I thought was the third out and I ended up tossing the ball into the stands when it was only the second out . . . It was a one-run game and luckily we got out of it but I was sweating during that time."

If you could have dinner with any three people throughout history, who would they be?

"Michael Jordan, Megan Fox and Manny Ramirez." If you were MLB commissioner for a day, what would you do?

"I would let me play . . . and make myself the logo."
