Another Long Island Duck is leaving the flock.
Outfielder Lew Ford, 35, has been signed by the Baltimore Orioles and will report to Triple-A Norfolk, making him the fourth Duck (Ryan Garko, Mitch Canham, Mike Rivera) to be signed by a major league organization in 2012.
Ford batted .333 (25-for-75) with four home runs and 14 RBIs in 19 games this season.
A former 12th-round pick of the Red Sox in 1999, he played five seasons with the Minnesota Twins from 2003-07, batting .272 with 32 home runs in 494 games.
