McKenna lifts East Islip over Hills West

Keith McKenna scored off a pass from Dylan Kruger with 17 minutes left to lead No. 9 East Islip to a 1-0 win over No. 1 Half Hollow Hills West Friday in a Suffolk Class AA boys soccer quarterfinal. Evan Maxwell made eight saves for East Islip (12-5-1), which plays at No. 4 Brentwood 2 p.m. Monday in a semifinal. Half Hollow Hills West is 16-1.

Commack 2, Northport 1:
Michael Biondo scored both goals for No. 2 Commack (16-1-1) in a Suffolk Class AA quarterfinal. Jackson Sirica made 11 saves for No. 10 Northport (11-4-3). Commack will host No. 3 Smithtown West at 2 p.m. Monday in a semifinal.Brentwood 1, West Islip 0: Andres Padilla scored off a pass from Andres Franco with 12 minutes remaining for No. 4 Brentwood (15-1-2) in a Class AA quarterfinal. No. 5 West Islip is 13-4-1.

Smithtown West 1, Ward Melville 0:
Jesse Lyons volleyed in the ball off the crossbar midway through the first half for No. 3 Smithtown West (16-0-2). No. 6 Ward Melville is 11-5-2.

Miller Place 1, Kings Park 0:
Nick Parrella scored with 5 minutes left for No. 5 Miller Place (10-5) in a Suffolk Class A quarterfinal. With the Panthers down a man after a red card, Jake Scavetta played a through ball to Parrella, who kicked it into the lower right corner from 12 yards. Kevin Labarbera, who made four saves in the win, stopped a penalty kick with 20 minutes remaining. Miller Place will play the winner of Westhampton/Sayville at 2:30 p.m. Monday in a semifinal.Islip 1, East Hampton 0: Neil Feminella scored with 18:20 left for No. 6 Islip (9-6-1) over No. 3 East Hampton in a Suffolk Class A quarterfinal. Islip plays the Glenn/Shoreham-Wading River winner Monday at 2:30 p.m. in a semifinal.

Sean DeVito scored off a pass from Jordan Zucker with 4 minutes left in the first half to lead No. 4 Wantagh (11-1-5) over top-seeded Manhasset (14-2-2) in a Nassau Class A semifinal. Daniel Hagan had four saves for his fifth shutout of the season. Wantagh will play South Side in the finals at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hofstra.South Side 2, Island Trees 0: Mike Marano scored on a header from Ben Tetelman 10 minutes into the second half and Alexi Lesko added another goal for No. 2 South Side (13-1-4) in a Nassau Class A semifinal. Jamie Strumwasser scored off a corner kick from Rosie DiMartino (two assists) 15 minutes into the game for No. 1 Massapequa (15-0-1) in a Nassau Class AA semifinal. Amanda Reverberi added a goal with 5 minutes remaining. EmmaLee Meyer made 11 saves in the win. Massapequa will face the winner of the MacArthur/Oceanside game at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Denton Avenue.Sayville 4, Kings Park 0: Madison Hoon had a goal and two assists to lead No. 1 Sayville (15-1) in a Suffolk Class A semifinal. Elizabeth Koehler added a goal and an assist. Emily Meier's goal with 20 seconds left in the first half gave the Golden Flashes a 1-0 lead. Olivia Coley-Bishop made 18 saves in the win. Sayville will play Islip at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Dowling in the final.Islip 3, Shoreham-Wading River 0: Morgan Santoro scored the first of three goals in a 9-minute span of the second half for No. 2 Islip in a Class A semifinal. Michelle Hennessey scored off an assist from Brianna Stiklickas 7:30 into the second overtime for No. 1 Stony Brook (12-3) in the Suffolk Class C final. Danielle Pappas made six saves in the win.
