1050 ESPN announces lineup changes effective April 5
Here is 1050 ESPN's news release about its upcoming lineup changes:
1050 ESPN New York (WEPN-AM), the flagship station of ESPN Radio, has adjusted its weekday programming schedule to deliver a stronger integration of local and national sports expertise to its listeners. The changes go into effect Monday, April 5.
ESPN New York (10-11 a.m.) will look at the morning’s top New York stories with contributions from columnists and beat reporters, reporting live to dissect and advance the hottest local topics with 1050 ESPN host Seth Everett. The program follows Mike & Mike in the Morning (6-10 a.m.).
Also new: The Jody Mac and Brandon Tierney Show (1-3 p.m.) led by veteran 1050 ESPN station hosts Jody McDonald and Brandon Tierney. The changes shift the two-hour The Herd with Colin Cowherd to 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Afternoon drive The Michael Kay Show shortens by one hour (3-7 p.m.). Also debuting: ESPN New York: The Leadoff Spot, a one hour show expanding morning drive (5-6 a.m.), hosted by 1050’s Ryan Ruocco, that will focus on the previous night’s games.
