1050 ESPN up 533% early a.m.
I wrote an item for the Friday newspaper about WFAN's dominance of 1050 ESPN during the key morning, mid-day and afternoon time slots.
But 1050 has made some progress in other parts of the day.
In May, the new 5 to 6 a.m. show "The Leadoff Spot" with Ryan Ruocco averaged 1.9 percent of the audience among men ages 25-54.
That's up from 0.3 in May of 2009.
The station also has done much better in the 7 to 8 p.m. "LeBron Watch" hour, which averaged a 1.5 in May, up from 0.9 the previous May.
