Alex Rodriguez is the best NY third baseman ever
Not surprisingly, Alex Rodriguez beat out a mediocre field Monday night to take his spot at third base on MSG's "The Lineup: New York's All-time Best Baseball Players."
The other finalists were Clete Boyer, Howard Johnson, Graig Nettles and Red Rolfe.
A-Rod joins Yogi Berra, Lou Gehrig and Jackie Robinson.
Next up will be a tough category: shortstop, at 10:30 p.m. next Tuesday.
Rey Ordonez is a longshot.
In other baseball news, MLB Network will carry the Dodgers home opener at 4 p.m. Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.
