Amar'e and me

Hi, gang! To answer your first question: Yes, I still am alive and still employed by Newsday. I've just been busy.

Speaking of which, here is my contribution to the Friday newspaper, in which I hang with Amar'e Stoudemire in Queens, mini-review next week's ESPN documentary about Terry Fox and PBS' documentary about baseball, and write about HBO turning this season's NHL "Winter Classic" into a reality series.

Stoudemire seemed like a nice enough fellow. He's good at Madden '11, too. He beat his manager, 21-0, using the Saints over the Jets.

Then, just to prove he can win when at a talent disadvantage, he beat him again, 21-0, this time with the Bucs over the Patriots.
