Baseball beats football!

Baseball scored a rare ratings victory over the NFL Sunday when Game 4 of the World Series averaged 10.1 percent of homes in overnight ratings from major markets on Fox compared to 8.2 for “Sunday Night Football’’ on NBC.
The Colts mostly are to blame, of course, for their no-show against the Saints in a 62-7 loss that wasn’t as close as the score suggests.
Also of note: Even though the World Series beat football, its rating was lower than when it lost head-to-head to the NFL last October, 11.8 to 10.4.
Regardless, the best news for Fox and for baseball is that the Series is tied at two games apiece, and the prospect of a Game 7 looms.
That is what every network that carries series in the sports with multiple-game playoff series prays for, and MLB and Fox have not had one in the World Series since 2002.
Already, this will be only the second Series out of the past eight to last at least six games.
