Sincere apologies, WatchDog Friends and Family, for my absence from the blog over the past couple of days.

I was busy sleeping only two hours since 6 a.m. Sunday due to following a Mr. Norman (Boomer) Esiason of Manhasset on his weekly rounds.

This week that included 12 hours or so working on CBS' "The NFL Today" Sunday, then working his usual 6 to 10 a.m. shift at WFAN, then flying to Chicago, then attending four hours worth of meetings, then calling the Packers-Bears game nationally for Westwood One radio, then flying back from Chicago, then reporting for his usual 6 to 10 a.m. shift Tuesday.

It was an interesting experience, one I hope to capture in a story in the newspaper later this week.
