Butch Goring returns to Isles broadcast on Thursday

Butch Goring will return to MSG Networks’ Islanders coverage for Thursday night’s game against the Bruins.
The longtime analyst had missed the previous seven games while recovering from shoulder surgery, with Joe Micheletti and AJ Mleczko filling in for him alongside play-by-play man Brendan Burke.
Neil Best first worked at Newsday in 1982, returned in 1985 after a detour to Alaska and has been here since, specializing in high schools, college basketball, the NFL and most recently sports media and business.
