'Caddyshack' turns 30

Catching up on the weekend . . .

Here is an excellent piece on the 30th anniversary of the release of "Caddyshack" by my old football beat confrere Hank Gola of the Daily News.

Meanwhile, at Yankee Stadium, fans who waited through a long rain delay Sunday could have spent the time sampling the wide assortment of food options at the new ballpark.

Unless they had watched ESPN's "Outside the Lines" Sunday morning.

In which case, maybe not. 

At least Nassau Coliseum came out as one of the cleanest food service operations in North America.

Speaking of stadium food, New Meadowlands Stadium has invited the media to a tasting of its concession options Tuesday.

Which sounded like a much more appealing idea until Sunday morning . . .
