'Dancing With the Stars' beats Jets, Giants in New York in Week 3
The Jets and Giants both are averaging their best local ratings ever through three weeks based on NFL records dating to 1998.
The Jets average 15.5 percent of New York-area homes, the Giants 15.1.
But those figures still are well below what most NFL markets draw for their teams' games.
From Sept. 20-26, an NFL game was the highest-rated show of the week in 27 of the league's 30 markets.
One of the three exceptions was New York, where "Dancing With the Stars" (16.0) beat Jets-Dolphins (15.1) and Titans-Giants (13.7).
