ESPN recalls Charismatic's spring of '99
Tuesday night's installment of ESPN Films' latest documentary series is "Charismatic," about the 1999 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner and his troubled jockey, Chris Antley.
The documentary moves slowly, or maybe I was just tired that day, but I must say that I had forgotten many aspects of both the horse's and jockey's stories, the latter of which is stranger and more compelling.
If you're a horse racing fan and/or a sports fan who is too young to remember 1999 or so old he has forgotten 1999, it's worth a look.
