FNL comes to LI

Here is something I wrote for Friday's newspaper about MSG Varsity and its new "Friday Night Football" high school series.

Thursday night I was fortunate enough to be invited by veteran Newsday scribe John Jeansonne to be a guest speaker at his Hofstra sports journalism class.

I enjoyed it very much and was heartened to see so many young people engaged in discussing journalism matters and presumably considering careers in the field.

Naturally, the most spirited discussion centered around Ines Sainz.
